Congress led Govt should not feel shy of dismissing TN govt: SC
The Supreme Court on Oct 1 pulled up the Tamil Nadu government for failing to comply with its order on a bandh call given by the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Karunanidhi begins fast, bandh-like situation in TN
"Is this the government? Is this the Tamil Nadu government? Is it the DMK government, a strong ally of the United Progressive Alliance government? If this is the attitude of the DMK government, the UPA government should not feel shy of dismissing it and impose President's Rule," the court observed.

Though the Supreme Court had stayed the Tamil Nadu bandh call on the Sethu canal project buses in most parts of the State were off the roads and shops remained closed. Leaders of the alliance partners of the DMK, including TNCC President M Krishnasamy, PMK founder S Ramadoss, leaders of left parties, DPI General Secretary Thol Thirumavalavan and Dravidar Kazhagam leader K Veeramani, sat on a fast along with Karunanidhi in front of the State Guest House in Chennai’s Chepauk area.
The DMK-led DPA had earlier called for a bandh on Monday but the Supreme Court stayed it on Sept 30 in a special sitting on a SLP filed by the opposition AIADMK, seeking to declare the bandh as unconstitutional.

After that Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat criticised the Supreme Court, terming its order as 'judicial encroachment'. It means atheist comrade is bigger than Ram and Supreme Court of India.

After leftist now Rightist support came in the form of union Information Minister of Anti-Ram government Priyaranjan Dasmunsi came in the support of Anti-Ram Government of DMK in TN. 'We will not even remotely do anything that could hurt the Tamil Nadu government,' he told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
He added firmly: 'The DMK and PMK are integral parts of the UPA; we are committed to defend their interests.'
Dismissing the Supreme Court's observation, the minister said: 'It is not a direction nor a judgement. It is just an expression of opinion.'
He added that the DMK government had the right to express its views within the limitations of the law and constitution. 'We cannot dance to the tune of the AIADMK,' Dasmunsi said.

In an article in 'Congress Sandesh' senior party leader Karan Singh said the ASI "in its wisdom had added to the general confusion and tension that surrounds us".
The ASI shocked the nation by making certain sweeping statements that questioned the very existence of Lord Ram as a historical figure although they have now withdrawn them, he said in the article.
Karn Singh has no roll in the Ramdrohi affidavit. His sin is only that he is the supporter of Ramdrohi government.
