Minority card vs Development Card

‘Quota for minorities being considered’ said Shivraj Patil on Jan 16. Opposite to this Chhattisgarh CM with the presence of various CMs of BJP launched Rs 3 per kg rice to BPL scheme to play the development cards to learn the lesson from its victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. But Congress is still busy to play ‘divide and rule’ cards to forget its defeat in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

reported on Jan 16: The Chhattisgarh BJP learnt a lesson from Gujarat to retain in power after the coming assembly election as Narendra Modi came back third time in Gujarat. With an eye to the assembly polls later this year, Chhattisgarh's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has smothered the state's 15 cities with saffron flags and banners on the eve of the launch Wednesday of a scheme to provide rice at Rs.3 a kg to 3.4 million poor families,” Former and present CMs of BJP such as Narendra Modi, Vasundhara Raje, Shivraj Sinh Chauhan, B C Khanduri and Deputy CM of Bihar Sushil Modi and former Deputy CM of Maharashtra Gopinath Munde were also launched the scheme in various places of Chhattisgarh. They decided to follow the Gujarat path of development.

Opposite to this Congress through Shivraj Patil throw again the google of minority card. Another card of Congress is ‘divide Uttar Pradesh’. published a report titled ‘ Rahul Gandhi sees his future in Bundelkhand’. NDA in the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave three new provinces: Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Congress showed first victory in newly state Chhattisgarh. But faced defeat in 2003 due to non performance. The same happened in Uttarakhand. How Jharkhand is ruled by Congress behind back door, all knows this.

As reported by media ‘Quota for minorities being considered’ said by Shivraj Patil on Jan 16. He evoked minority community against equal opportunity for all, to say in State Minority Conference that the government was exploring the possibility of providing reservation to minorities in educational institutions and jobs.

As for the definition of ‘minority’ — a contentious issue in several States — Mr. Singh was guarded, stating that it was defined in the national perspective with inputs from States for the benefit of precision. However, he refused to elaborate saying that it could generate a controversy. Means Congress led UPA Government has no definition of Minority.

They have freedom to define ‘Minority’, ‘Secularism and ‘tainted’ etc according to their convenience. Our elections are fought on the basis of caste, creed, group, religion, and money and muscle power. It is difficult to stop tainted persons from fighting elections when we can’t even define who is tainted and who is not. So called seculars say these are seculars and those are not seculars. Though there is no definition of secularism. Every one defines it as per his convenience. The term “tainted” should be defined through a bill passed by 3/4th majority of the parliament, approved by the President and thereafter taught politicians the meaning in a language that they can understand. It is a shame that people at large know its meaning but politicians do not.

Talking about secularism Modi described how its definition had morphed along the years. “There was a time when secularism meant religious harmony, later it became lip sympathy to the minorities, and then appeasement of minorities...As for me development is the strongest foundation of secularism as it would benefit the poorest of the poor,” Modi said inviting a huge applause in Kamraj hall of Chennai.
