US Church cheers Gay’s death

Amercian Church insulted the martyr’s death funeral. When I begin to write on this issue then ‘Lighted Deeps’ ques zoomed before my eyes and I recall “High than Mount Everest height emotional words of the martyr-memorial at Kohima”.

Church cheered Gay’s death

Media reported now, from Baltimore (Maryland): Before the March 2006 funeral for Lance Cpl. Matthew A. Snyder, a marine who was killed in Iraq, protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church, a tiny fundamentalist splinter group, picketed the service with signs that read “God Hates You” and “Thank God for Dead Soldiers.”
USA: A jury on Oct 31m ordered a Kansas church to pay $2.9 million in compensatory damages to relatives of a gay US Marine after church members cheered his death at his funeral.
The church's members claimed that the soldier's death was God's punishment on America for tolerating homosexuality.

Why won't church hold funeral for gay?

"Knew it, accepted it'
Mr. Sinclair's family and friends reject any such comparison between homosexuality and criminal behavior. Mr. Sinclair came out officially to his family shortly after his service in the Gulf War, his mother said.
"We all knew it," she said. "We knew it and accepted it."
Family understand that the death family member is a time to come together, not a time to be divisive.

Gay vs Thief or murderer

* Some one said that he could imagine a similar situation involving a different sin. Perhaps a mother who is a member of the church loses a son who is a thief or murderer, Mr. Simons said. The church would surely volunteer to hold a service, he said.
"But I don't think the mother would submit photos of her son murdering someone," he said. "That's a red light going off."

AIDS vs Gay

If so, that kind of reaction is all too familiar to survivors of the AIDS onslaught of the 1980s, said Ed Young, a charter member of the Turtle Creek Chorale. Back then, having churches turn down funerals of gay men was not uncommon, he said.

History is Past: Kargil Victory Day every year

Santosh Kanwar, widow of Martyr Mangej Singh swore ''I shall not hesitate to send all my three sons to the front and will be proud if they die defending the country like their father”
High than Mount Everest height emotional words of the martyr-memorial at Kohima:

When you go hometell them of usAnd sayfor your tomorrowwe gave our today

* It is a cruel irony of fate to recall a report that Srimati Pratibha Patil-- who forgot to deposit a paltry sum of Rs 5000 collected from her staff for the victims of Kargil war-- is being sworn in as Supreme commander of the Armed forces. Thanks to congress led UPA Government (for small mercies) that this is done a day prior and not on the Vijaya divas day itself!

Proper presentation of flowers and garlands

When I wite the above then I recall the sad incidence of the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi due to the flower presentation of the woman suicide bomber. Leaders only reminded his assassination for ride on sympathy wave for getting votes. Why blind followers of dustbineed leaders compete to present garlands heavy weighted. Why do they not present these to the martyrs and our gods Ram?

Please execuse me for my weakness and let flow the words here as the water flows in the river. Otherwise these would nto be pure and useful.

I click my mouse to read one news story of TOI:
Was Bhagat Singh a Revolutionary terrorist?
Was Bhagat Singh a terrorist? UPSC has unwittingly triggered a debate on whether the legendary martyr should be called a "revolutionary terrorist"In the general studies paper of UPSC's civil services exam, held on October 26, candidates were asked to evaluate the contribution of "revolutionary terrorism represented by Bhagat Singh".

Who are patriots? Who are traitors?

Am I communal to read, “Now Netaji is communal and not freedom fighter. Lokmanya Tilak and Veer Savarkar are terrorists in NCERT and IGNOU books.Traitors becdome patriots and patriots become traitors,”?

How can UPA stop the celebration of Dussehra and Deepawali?

How can UPA stop firing of Ravan, a symbol of evils? Apart from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata also refers to the continued protection of Nala Setu following Sri Rama's command. Kalidasa's Raghuvamsham also refers to the Setu. So does the Skanda Purana (III 1.2.1-114), the Vishnu Purana (IV 4.40-49), the Agni Purana (V-XI), the Brahma Purana (138.1-40).

I have discussed above Church cheers gay’s death also Kargil matyrs. Now I will throw some light on the funeral cremation of Ravan by Vibhishan on the order of Lord Ram to show that how Hinduism gave and gives respect to the death funeral of evey the enemy.

After the end of War, Lord Ram ordered Vibhishan, "You should begin the funeral rites for your elder brother without further delay. Only after the cremation of Ravan's body will it is possible to comfort his widows."

Vibhishan replied, "I do not want to perform the funeral ceremonies for a man who kidnapped the wives of others, who was merciless and tyrannical, and who was inclined toward irreligion. Of course, Ravan was my elder brother, and so it is my duty to respect him. But, on the other hand, because his actions were like those of an enemy, I feel that he does not deserve my worship."

Lord Ram said, "Vibhishan, I approve of your words because they uphold the cause of virtue. Still, I would like you to cremate your brother's body. After all, despite his faults, Ravan was a great hero. And, it is a fact, that with the death of his body, all hostilities have now ended." Vibhishan went inside the city to make arrangements for Ravan's funeral. After bringing his maternal grandfather, Malyavan, Vibhishan placed Ravan's body on the funeral carrier and then proceeded, along with other Rakshasas who carried the firewood. Going toward the south, the party arrived at a consecrated place where they cremated Ravan's body according to the Vedic injunctions. Thereafter, Ravan's wives were consoled, and then everyone returned to Lanka.
