Mrs. Soren wife of former Coal Minister was caught traveling ticketless
After UP’s Minister for Haj was caught traveling ticketless, it was the turn of the wife of Union Minister for Coal and Mines Sibu Soren. Mrs Soren was caught aboard the Neelanchal Express travelling from Delhi to Bokaro without a proper ticket. She was accompanied by her son and daughter, with the son travelling on his father’s ticket. Before this, Haji Yakub Qureshi was also caught along with three supporters travelling ticketless on board the Delhi-Lucknow Mail. The minister was fined Rs 14,000. The minister told reporters he had a valid ticket and was being harassed due to a “political conspiracy”. “I am writing to the Union Government...I will disclose the names of people harassing me later,” he added.
Bangladeshi infiltration into India
The Supreme Court in the past sought information on the steps taken by the government on a 1998 report by the then Assam governor highlighting the problems caused by the influx of Bangladeshi migrants. Lt. Gen. Sinha, who is now governor of Jammu and Kashmir, had in his report expressed serious concern over the large-scale illegal Bangladeshi migration into Assam that was changing the demography of the region at an alarming rate. He also said the migrants posed a serious security threat. Because of this report CM of Assam called governor as communal and tried to remove him from the governorship of J&K.
What is the role of Congress and left in providing ration cards and mentioning Bangladeshis infiltrators’ names in the voterlist? Why do they say that they are their brothers and sisters?
